Driven by my desire to help others, I have expanded my practice to include training and guiding other clinicians who are seeking additional education within their chosen profession. My name is Jacquelyn Kirby, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor with over 15 years in the field. I graduated from Louisiana State University in 2005 with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and in 2011 with my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. Throughout this time, I worked in various settings including an inpatient psychiatric facility, community mental health rehabilitation center, substance abuse clinic, and private practice. The unique opportunities and challenges that each of these settings provided have helped me become a well-rounded and experienced clinician. In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor and EMDR Consultant in Training, I hold various certifications and have participated in countless hours of post-graduate training which demonstrate my dedication to continue seeking knowledge and furthering my expertise in the field. When we work together during consultation or supervision services, you can feel confident in the fact that you are receiving expertise coming from the years of my mental health background. We will collaborate through every step of the process, which will ensure that you are acquiring the best guidance possible. I will be responsive and understanding throughout our work because I want to ensure that our efforts together come from a shared passion for mental health and all that it entails.
